Limelight Academy for the Performing and Visual Arts

 Now recruiting for the new 2013 Spring Term sessions, for Limelight Performing Arts and Limelight Visual Arts. The deadline for applications is 26^th April 2013 for the summer term. Limelight Visual Arts  - Tuesday 5.30-7.00 – Medina College

Photography – You will learn how to use digital SLR cameras, composition and the essentials for taking good photographs. In addition you will have the chance to manipulate your images using the latest Adobe software in our mac suits.

Pottery – You learn about different ceramic techniques including hand building and throwing pots. Our resident specialist ceramicist will help build your skills and understanding of this fantastic traditional and contemporary art/craft form.

Printmaking – Working with our specialist you will master the skills of printmaking through a series of process based workshops and creative responses from lino printing, mono printing and stencil printing.

Limelight Performing Arts  -   Wednesday 5.30 – 7.00 Medina College

Acting - Drama is an excellent outlet for a child's imagination and our drama classes boost self-esteem and encourage teamwork. Students will learn basic skills as well as developing self-confidence.

Singing - Singing lessons can be daunting for children which is why we use a mixture of musical theatre and contemporary songs as well as fun vocal exercises. This combination builds confidence slowly and by the end of term every student will have the confidence to sing solo without feeling under pressure.

Dancing - Our dance classes will concentrate on a variety of dance skills and styles but because we pride ourselves on building confidence, each student will develop at their own pace with the support of the group.
